Just came back from a 33 hr Offshore Grouper fishing trip. Gag Grouper are stacked up in 115 ft of water. We limited out with 20 to 30 pound Gag's in about 2 hours and had to move off of them. We then fished for Red Grouper and limited out on large 'fire trucks' in about another 2 hours.
The rest of the trip was spent fishing for Mango Snapper.
This was a really Great trip, enhanced by the flat calm seas! We caught a couple of days inbetween fronts and the weather was perfect.
Don't forget, Grouper fishing is closed in the Gulf for Feb and March. There are plenty of other fish to catch like AJ and Mango Snapper and the Grouper are still a lot of fun to play with.
